Another Story of Beginnings and Endings

We each have our own journeys in our lives. Some beginnings and endings are unavoidable or, let’s say that it’s the way of life. Remember starting your first day at preschool to graduating elementary school? Then you will start another level of education again.    Maybe, I am not alone when I say that I used to be scared when starting new in my life alone. I can still remember when I was accepted to be an apprentice in a manufacturing company a few months after I finished college. It is the first time when I am all by myself. When I started, I always cry at night, and I always woke up feeling down like something is missing. Still, I guess that was me being homesick and new to the environment as well as being with new people I am not familiar with. It makes me smile, looking back on those moments.     Another Story of Beginnings and Endings    One of the great things about being away alone is meeting various kinds of people. I am naturally a shy person ...

What Does Growing Up Means?

Many of us don’t have any idea what does growing up means not until we leave our own home and start living alone, like start living independently. Others may disagree and say that growing up is getting old or when we are aging. It is sometimes defined differently by each individual where you’ll realize not everyone has the same grasp of the meaning of the word. Honestly, all I could think about growing is that being independent and responsible.

What Does Growing Up Means?

Our mistakes help us grow as an individual,

Growing Up As Being Independent

As we leave the comfort of our homes, a new journey arrives. It will be a journey that only involves ourselves and only have our own to depend on. As we go out and live on by ourselves, we are expected to face many challenges. It will be hard sometimes, however, other times will be fun too.

You will be free and do whatever you want, things that will be either good or bad for you. It will be your choice and no one is going to condemn you for your decisions. Being in control of your own life is what being independent means. Then, there comes the responsibility of taking all your actions which are being responsible.

Growing Up Means Being Responsible

There, as we are growing up, we get to live independently, make our own decisions without anyone telling us what to do. We will be able to make our voices, there will be bad ones or good ones. Of course, we cannot tell yet if our choices were bad or good at first. We, sometimes, or most of the time have regrets once the outcome will be revealed. What can we do? We make our choices mostly with our current emotions, we cannot tell the future. Like we go out with someone because we are so happy being with them but after a few months or years, we’ll be heartbroken. We will then regret our actions. Another example was choosing our career. We will choose something that we enjoy or passionate about even if we are not good at it but it what we want. Others will prefer high paying jobs but cannot avoid being stressed about their work, they cannot even enjoy their lives.

As a grown-up, being an adult, whatever may be your decisions and their outcomes, you will assure yourself that you are ready to take responsibility for all your actions. There is no easy way to being a grown-up person but you get to make your own decisions. You will have the opportunity to make judgments for yourself, no matter what will be the result, the feeling you have before taking your actions is what is important at the moment. If what you did will have a negative outcome, you will have to deal with it and next time you will know better.

Final Thoughts

Our mistakes help us grow as an individual, as a person. You can never tell the future upon making choices for your life but you will know better the next time. We will be happy sometimes and there will be times we will going to be having a really bad day. But it will be all alright. We will move on and do better.
